An AnimBrush is a brush made up of animation cels.
First, we will need to have some animation frames to work with.
Now we will animate this simple brush by drawing over the series of frames.
The 1 and 2 keys on the main keyboard move back and forth through the frames.
This information tells us what frame we're on, and how many frames there are.
Let's make the brush do a simple bouncing motion.
Press the 4 key, to play the animation continuously.
Pressing the space bar or a mouse button will stop the animation.
We can now pick up an area of the animation to use as an animbrush.
The Pick Up option is what we need to select.
This works like the Brush Tool. Now we have to pick up a rectangular area.
First, we'll use Shift-1, to go to the first animation frame.
We can use the 1 & 2 keys to go through the frames to see the area we want.
Now, click & hold the left button to start a rectangle to surround the area.
Again, the 1 & 2 keys can be used to make sure we surround the complete area.
Release the mouse button to accept the animbrush dimensions.
Enter the number of cels to pick up for the animbrush.
The area of animation is now an animbrush copy attached to the pointer.
If we used the right button, the area would have been cut from the screen.
You can use this brush just like any other custom brush,
However, the animbrush will move through its cels as you paint with it.
If you want to paint the animbrush over multiple animation frames,
hold down the Alt key as you paint. The animbrush now animates over frames.
Other demonstrations will show how to use the Move requester with animbrushes.
